Inicio
1. Ve a la Magician's Academy (/navi yuno 323/282) que se encuentra en la esquina noreste de Juno.
2. Una vez dentro, a su lado izquierdo, hable con el NPC del personal de la Academia, Metheus Sylphe, para registrarse para la prueba Sage. Se le pedirá que pague 70,000 Zeny para registrarse. Como alternativa, puede darles un Old Magicbook y un Necklace of Wisdom para evitar la tarifa. Además, puedes decirle al NPC que es demasiado caro. Te dará otro requisito en el que puedes pagar con 30.000 Zeny, 50 Clovers, 50 Feathers y 25 Squid Ink. Si tiene un nivel de Job 50, está exento de pagar la tarifa de entrada.
3. Con la tarifa pagada, es hora de la temida prueba escrita. Pasa el primer NPC y entra en la siguiente habitación. Deberías estar en un pasillo. Toma la primera a la izquierda y encontrarás al NPC profesor de pruebas escritas, Claytos Verdo (/navi yuno_in03 107/176).
Examen escrito
4. Habla con él y te hará un total de 20 preguntas. Por cada pregunta que responda correctamente, recibirá cinco puntos. Para pasar esta parte de la prueba Sage, debe tener un total de al menos 80 puntos para continuar. Las preguntas están agrupadas por similitud:

Examen práctico
5. Una vez que hayas pasado la parte escrita de la prueba, estarás listo para el combate. Entra de nuevo en el pasillo y entra en la habitación al otro lado del pasillo. Aquí es donde está el profesor de examen práctico, Hermes Tris (/navi yuno_in03 169/178).
6. Habla con el profesor y entrarás a una sala de espera donde deberás esperar tu turno para tomar la prueba de lucha. Ingrese a la sala de chat para comenzar. Algunas Skills que puede querer usar teclas rápidas son:
- Fire Bolt (Level 1~4)
- Fire Wall
- Fire Ball
7. Tus primeros enemigos serán un grupo de Chonchons y Fabres agresivos. Si tiene Fire Wall, esta prueba es muy sencilla. Fire Wall a tu alrededor y los matarás. Incluso sin Fire Wall, los enemigos son tan débiles que puedes atacarlos individualmente o incluso cuerpo a cuerpo si es necesario. Si vas por la ruta cuerpo a cuerpo, trae pociones. Tenga en cuenta que tiene un tiempo de tres minutos.
8. El siguiente grupo de enemigos serán Luantics no agresivos. Al principio, parece que solo hay seis, pero rápidamente se multiplican a unos 30 más o menos. 9. Tu última prueba es luchar contra un Whisper agresivo. Habrá cinco Whispers en total, pero solo atacarán al del centro. Puedes usar Fire Wall o usar un combo Frost Diver/Lightning Bolt. Si tienes Phen Card, no tienes que preocuparte de que rompa tu Casteo. Una vez que matas al Whisper, los demás desaparecen.
10. Cuando regrese, hable nuevamente con el profesor de examen práctico.
Estudia con el profesor
11. En este punto, la quest se divide en tres caminos. Él hará lo siguiente:
- Pasos "A": te asignan para estudiar la historia de Yggdrasil y te enviarán al profesor de historia.

11c. Si te asignaron al Biology Professor, ve al Museo de Monstruos como se muestra en el mapa de Juno. Está ubicado en la misma isla justo al lado de la Academia de Magos (/navi yuno 278/291). Una vez dentro, entra en la trastienda y encontrarás al Biology Professor.
12c. Habla con el profesor, te pedirá que consigas un conjunto de artículos, el primer conjunto será de water property/fish y el segundo conjunto será de monstruos Insects. Preguntará al azar por cada conjunto de artículos:

Paso Final
14. Una vez que haya terminado su ensayo, se le entregará un libro y se le indicará que muestre su tesis al Decano de la Academia de Magos. Dirígete al Sage Castle, que está situado en la esquina noroeste de la isla norte de Juno (/navi yuno 89/319). Camina por el piso hasta la última habitación donde encontrarás al Decano de la Academia (Kayron Grik) (/navi yuno_in02 38/61) y entrégale tu tesis. Luego cambiará tu trabajo a Sage.
